Yes, at The Rimrock Resort Hotel, we provide dedicated bell staff services to assist you during your stay. Our friendly and professional bell staff is available to ensure a smooth and convenient arrival and departure experience, as well as to help with any luggage or other guest needs. Available 24 hours.

We offer onsite concierge services to all our guests before, during, and after your stay. If you are looking for dining reservations, airport transfers, planning your vacation itinerary, golf, skiing or transportation assistance, we are happy to assist with all your needs!

The check-in time is 4pm, and the check-out time is 11am.

General Cancellation Policy is: 72 hours prior to arrival
Summer (May – September): 30 days prior to arrival
Christmas (Dec 22 – Jan 2): Full prepaid non-refundable deposit 60 days prior to arrival

Because four-legged friends are an important part of many families, we are delighted to offer pet-friendly accommodations at The Rimrock Resort Hotel. In fact, we believe in going the extra mile to make our four-legged guests feel special — ask us about our bandanas that say “Free Kisses”!

We have two dedicated pet-friendly floors within our hotel, where guests with pets can feel at home. Each pet-friendly room has a cozy bed, a treat to welcome your furry companion, and a water dish to keep them hydrated throughout their stay.

While we don’t have specific pet-friendly dining areas, we understand the importance of finding suitable pet-friendly options. Our concierge team is more than happy to recommend nearby pet-friendly restaurants or outdoor dining areas where you can enjoy a meal together.

Please note: We allow a maximum of 2 dogs/room at a rate of $60/night for 1 pet; add $20/night for a 2nd pet. Our pet-friendly accommodations are only located on Levels 6 and 7 of the hotel. A pet fee may be associated with your stay to cover any necessary cleaning or maintenance after your departure.

Yes, there is air conditioning in every room.

For all of our guests, we are pleased to offer free standard WiFi (10mbps download / 5 mbps upload). We also have high-speed WiFi (20 mbps download / 10 mbps upload), which is available at an additional cost of $7.95 per day and purchased directly through the Telus WiFi portal.

In the winter, we have an outdoor skating rink in our courtyard. The ice rink is always open for Christmas (although naturally we depend on the weather for freezing and setting).

The Rimrock is pleased to partner with ROAM transit service to provide complimentary transportation within the town site of Banff.

The closest airport to The Rimrock Resort Hotel is the Calgary International Airport (YYC). Located approximately 148 kilometres (92 miles) from our hotel, Calgary International Airport is a major transportation hub serving domestic and international flights.

The drive from Calgary International Airport to The Rimrock Resort Hotel takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic and weather conditions.

The closest ski hills to our hotel are all just a short distance away: Sunshine Village, The Lake Louise Ski Resort, and Mount Norquay. These ski hills are renowned for their diverse terrain, breathtaking scenery, and exceptional skiing conditions — catering to beginners and seasoned skiers alike.

• Sunshine Village: 14.7KM, 26 minutes
• The Lake Louise Ski Resort: 63.3KM, 47 minutes
• Mount Norquay: 11KM – 18 minutes

We are located approximately 3.5 kilometres (2.1 miles) from the Town of Banff.

At this time, there is no shuttle direct to the ski hill. However, during the winter, we transport guests to the Mount Royal parking lot to catch the numerous hill transports. (In the future, this will likely be a drop off at The Springs.)

Yes, the walking path to town is about 6.8 kilometres (4.2 miles) round trip. You can use AllTrails to guide your way.

There is a trail that runs along the side of the road to take you to Middle Springs. From there, you can stroll along the sidewalk into town. It’s about 3.5 kilometres to downtown. We rent E-bikes at the hotel for easy access to and from town without having to bike up the hill. There is also a trail from The Rimrock to the back of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel that guests often take. It is approximately 3 kilometres long and is well marked, as it also doubles as a horse trail.
