10,000 Trees and Counting

A Greener Path Forward

At The Rimrock Banff, we’re surrounded by some of the most breathtaking landscapes on Earth—towering peaks, wild forests, and endless skies. With this beauty comes a deep responsibility to protect it.

That’s why, in 2024, we partnered with Hotels for Trees, a global reforestation initiative that makes sustainability a shared journey between hotels and their guests.

We’re proud to share: together, we’ve helped plant over 10,000 trees.

How Your Stay Makes a Difference

This milestone isn’t just about numbers—it’s about collective impact. Guests who stay with us are invited to forgo housekeeping services for a night or more, and in doing so, contribute to the planting of a tree. It’s one small gesture that, when multiplied across stays, seasons, and stories, becomes something powerful.

While skipping housekeeping is just one way trees are planted through the Hotels for Trees program, it reflects a deeper shift in how we travel: more consciously, more intentionally, and with a greater connection to place.

As a resort rooted in Banff National Park, we’ve always known the value of wild spaces—and we’re proud to help ensure they continue to thrive, not just here, but in reforestation projects around the world.

Thank you to our guests for being part of this journey. Whether you knew it or not, your decision helped plant something meaningful—and we’re just getting started.
